She worked for almost 40 years on this mission. Her perspective on this topic is that these positive affirmations open a door for you to step through onto your new path in life. She also felt that saying the affirmations is only one part of the whole process.

She put a lot of emphasis on what you did the rest of the day, up until you went to bed at night.

Ms. Hay also felt that positive affirmations were only the seeds that needed to be planted in your mind then they were to grow after that, helping you change not only your outlook but your experiences.

Also, she felt that you need to think good thoughts in order to water those affirmations you had planted in your mind. She was it is how you think that makes the difference.
